A Labor of Love

Josh Mallan, president and founder of SensationStations, is fortunate to have years of experience appreciating the dynamics of life with a child with special needs. Josh started his Chicago-based business after researching in-home therapy options for his son, Miles, and finding them virtually non-existent.

With 30 years of experience in the building industry, in both private and commercial sectors, Josh was able to construct impressive prototype gyms for Miles on his own. He also worked as an educator for six years teaching at the high school and college levels. When developing SensationStations he combined his building and education backgrounds. Over time he honed the systems until their quality exceeded many he’d seen in clinical environments. Working with a network of occupational therapists, physical therapists and designers, Josh has devised a dynamic and durable model for his SensationStations that ensures the perfect scope and functionality for each new installation.
